Ms. Mittra shared with us her 15-year long journey with Abbott, where she focused on her anchors like passion, attitude, thinking ahead, never settling, and excellence which proved as a driving force in her career. She highlighted #TransitionBackToWork, a program called ASCENT (Abbott Second Career Engagement Program) for women to help come back to corporate. There are different stages of how working should be carried forward in Abbott which includes storytelling and communication, cognitive flexibility, critical thinking, learnability, creativity, and innovation. She emphasized on “aptitude, attitude, and leadership” being the prime factors for futuristic growth. One such example that she acknowledged was her team – who have shown these desirable qualities. One of the key lessons from today’s session was “whatever you do, do with passion, and mark your presence.”
